About Me

Bio:
I was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota back in 1988 and still live here today. I did attend college, but eventually stopped going after a year; instead turning towards teaching myself rather than depending on someone else with a set schedule to learn from. I like that freedom; you will only truly learn (and retain) information when you want to learn it. I work in the technical field as a Technical Support Representative for CCC Information Services.
About my “WoW Life”:
I started playing on November 16, 2005 according to my account information. I started playing when an old friend of mine convinced me to pick up the game. I started on a few servers, switching servers, factions and classes; never really deciding on one. I’m not sure what made me pick the class, but I finally leveled my hunter on the server Dalaran. I didn’t start ‘playing’ (raiding) and enjoying the game until late into the Burning Crusade expansion with my hunter thanks to a close friend named “Avagadro”. I started raiding around the time that Sunwell was released and, I believe, our guild got up to ZA before the massive changes that came with patch 3.0 which allowed us to raid in BC/SSC/MH. While raiding on my Hunter, I gained massive respect for the Druid class as one of our main healers, Joydan, taught me about the class. I fell in love shortly after and started my druid; leveling as Restoration (Yes! I leveled as Resto!). At the release of Wrath of the Lich King expansion, my Druid was around level 52, which allowed me to ride the “Death Knight Wave” and level up extremely quickly. Most groups consisted of DK-DK-DK-DK-Druid, of course myself being said Druid. I was rarely by myself during my level 70-80 journey, again healing instances, this time until I hit 80. Shortly after WoTLK was released, the guild that I was in broke up; members going to different guilds, some quitting altogether. I quickly joined another raiding guild, this time with my Druid. I stayed with that guild until a few weeks after the release of Ulduar; leaving for personal reasons. I looked around for another guild, wanting one that took raiding more seriously. I soon found my home in Exodus on the server Shadow Council and joined their ranks on April 27, 2009. Since then, we have made great strides and overcome many difficult obstacles to get where we are today; top on the server and high up world wide.
Interests:
One of my main hobbies is World of Warcraft and the raiding, along with the theorycrafting, that it brings. Specifically, I have fallen in love with the Druid class and strive to make my character the best he can be. I also enjoy helping other aspiring Druids learn about our class and I like to theorycraft with other experienced Druids. Besides World of Warcraft, my interests mainly include computers in general. I enjoy both the hardware and software aspects of computing, especially enterprise class equipment (servers, routers, UPS etc). I hand build my own computers and servers. Hardware wise, I do make custom cables to clear up clutter in the case itself; reducing airflow resistance, increasing total case airflow and decreasing noise. On the “Enterprise side”, I am familiar with server environments (OS) and hardware including Cisco routers, high output uninterruptible power supplies and rackmounted servers.
My hardware:
I’ll try to keep this up-to-date as possible, but there may be a slight delay if I get new hardware, sell old hardware or replace/upgrade a part.
